The kickoff meeting of the STEAM4ALL project took place on 26th and 27th of September 2022 at Doukas School in Athens, Greece. Project partners, who participated in a face-to-face meeting, have extensive experience in Erasmus Plus projects and the needs of the main target groups, teachers and teacher educators.
The partner organisations are from 5 different countries: Netherlands, Cyprus, Ireland, Greece and Hungary. This allows a strong geographical coverage, added EU value, contributions, perspectives and results spanning different EU regions. The organisations are the University of Groningen, Doukas School, CARDET, Europa Media and the 2nd primary school of Egkomi.
The main objectives of the project are to increase teachers’ professional development and digital competences, to improve school children’s learning abilities in relation to the STEAM skills and to promote the synergies between the schools, the community and other stakeholders.
The purpose of the kick of meeting was the completion of the Toolkit for Learners and the initial discussion and actions for the eLearning Platform and Blended. Furthermore, an initial presentation of the STEAM4All theoretical framework was presented – as it emerged from the general discussion of the Desk Research and the interviews of the STEAM experts – from Eugenia Koleza, Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Patras, and member of the coordinating committee of the postgraduate program “STEM Education and Educational Robotics Systems.
